Camera-Ready Instructions for Accepted Papers

Congratulations on the acceptance of your paper to GameSec 2026. The proceedings will be published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.

Please upload your complete camera-ready package at the Google Drive link shared in your acceptance email by Friday, August 7, 2026, 11:59 PM AOE. This is a hard deadline.

Please upload one zip file per accepted paper. Please name the zip file as: GameSec2026_PaperID_[paper number]_[corresponding-author-last-name].zip. For example: GameSec2026_PaperID_42_Smith.zip.

Page limit

The final camera-ready paper must not exceed 20 pages, including references and well-formatted appendices. Please do not reduce font sizes, margins, line spacing, or vertical spacing to fit the paper into the page limit. The paper must use the official Springer LNCS format.

Springer LNCS format

Please prepare the final version using the official Springer Computer Science Proceedings / LNCS format.

Springer author instructions and templates are available here. Please use the current Springer proceedings author instructions and either the LaTeX2e proceedings template or the Microsoft Word proceedings template.

Authors using Overleaf may use Springer's LNCS Overleaf template. Please read the instructions included with the template before preparing the final version.

Files to include in your single zip per paper

Your zip file must contain all of the following.

A. Final camera-ready PDF

Include the final PDF generated from your final source files.

B. Complete paper source files

For LaTeX papers, include:

• .tex files;
• .bib file;
• .bbl file;
• all figure/image files;
• any nonstandard style files needed to compile the paper;
• final PDF.

For Word papers, include:

• .docx or .rtf source file;
• all figure/image files, if separate;
• final PDF.

Please do not include old drafts, review versions, backup files, or unnecessary auxiliary files.

C. Signed Springer License-to-Publish form

Please complete and sign the Springer License-to-Publish form.

Important:

• The form must be signed by the corresponding author.
• The corresponding author on the form must match the corresponding author marked in the paper.
• The corresponding author signs on behalf of all authors.
• On the License-to-Publish form, leave "Edition ID" and "PS" blank.
• Springer does not accept digital signatures on this form. Please print the form, sign it by hand, scan it, and include the scanned signed form in your zip file.
• Once the proceedings files are sent to Springer, author names, author order, affiliations, and corresponding-author designation cannot be changed.

D. Permissions documentation, only if applicable

You need to provide permissions documentation only if your paper reuses third-party material. This includes, for example:

• a figure, table, image, screenshot, diagram, or photograph from another paper, book, website, dataset, software manual, or online source;
• a substantial text quotation from another source;
• a modified version of a figure, table, or image created by someone else;
• a figure, table, or image from one of your own earlier publications, if copyright was transferred to another publisher;
• photographs or images of identifiable people, where consent or rights clearance may be needed.

If your paper contains such material, you must do both of the following:

• cite the original source in the paper; and
• include written permission, license documentation, or other rights-clearance evidence in your zip file.

If your paper does not reuse third-party material requiring permission, you do not need to upload a separate permissions file.

Please note: material found through Google, Bing, Wikipedia, GitHub, or another website is not automatically free to reuse. If the license does not clearly permit reuse in a Springer proceedings paper, you should either obtain permission or replace the material with material you created yourself.

E. Supplementary material

Please do not submit code, datasets, videos, or other supplementary material.

Author and corresponding-author information

Please carefully check the final author information in your paper:

• full author names;
• author order;
• affiliations;
• email addresses;
• ORCID identifiers, if available;
• corresponding author designation.

The corresponding author must be clearly marked in the paper and must include an email address. Springer will later contact the corresponding author for proof checking.

Springer strongly recommends that all authors include email addresses in the paper, since these are used to send authors access links to their published papers.

If any author's family name may be ambiguous, for example because of name particles, suffixes, or non-Western name order, please make sure the given name and family name are clear in the submitted source.

Disclosure of interests

Please include one of the following statements near the end of the paper, after acknowledgments and before references.

• If there are no competing interests: Disclosure of Interests. The authors have no competing interests to declare that are relevant to the content of this article.
• If there are relevant competing interests: Disclosure of Interests. [Briefly describe relevant competing interests].

Figure, table, and equation checks

Before uploading, please check that:

• all figures are legible;
• figures remain understandable if printed in black and white;
• no color is used in text, tables, or equations;
• tables are editable and are not pasted as images;
• equations are editable and are not pasted as images;
• figure captions and table captions are present;
• figures and tables are cited in the text.

Accessibility / alt text

Springer may require alternative text for figures and other non-text content for accessibility. To avoid delays, if your paper contains figures, please include a simple text file named: alt-text.txt. In that file, provide one short description per figure, for example: Figure 1: [one- or two-sentence description of what the figure shows].

If you are unable to provide alt text at this stage, Springer may generate it later and ask the corresponding author to check it during proofing.

Final formatting checklist

Before uploading, please confirm that:

• the paper uses the Springer LNCS format;
• the paper does not exceed 20 pages including references and well-formatted appendices;
• the final PDF matches the source files;
• the paper does not contain manually added page numbers;
• the paper does not contain manually added running heads;
• references are complete and consistently formatted;
• all cited references appear in the reference list;
• all references in the reference list are cited in the paper;
• file names are short and simple;
• the zip contains only the final files needed for production.

US Government / Crown Copyright / special copyright cases

If any author is employed by a US Government department, a US Government contractor, or is affected by Crown Copyright or another special copyright arrangement, please contact us immediately. Springer may require a different publication agreement, and unresolved copyright issues can delay publication.

Proof stage

After Springer processes the proceedings, the corresponding author will receive proofs for checking. The proof stage is only for correcting typesetting or production errors. Substantive changes, author changes, title changes, and major content changes will not be possible at that stage.
