GameSec 2017 will take place at Tech Gate Vienna. The venue will be hosted by the Austrian Institute of Technology, Center for Digital Safety & Security.

How to Reach the TechGate

There are three options to get to the Tech Gate from the Vienna International Airport:

  1. The Airport Bus runs daily at 60-minute intervals between 7.10am and 8.10pm. Please get off at the station "Kaisermühlen-Vienna International Center."
  2. The CAT (City Airport Train) connects the Vienna International Airport Schwechat with the City Air Terminal Landstraße (Wien Mitte). The CAT timetable and current fares are available at www.cityairporttrain.com. From the station Wien Mitte/Landstraße you have access to the subway (U).

    Please take the exit "Schüttaustraße" once you have arrived at the underground station "Kaisermühlen / VIC".
  3. By car (rental car or taxi) Coming from the A23 motorway (Süd-Ost-Tangente) via the A22 highway (Donauuferautobahn): In the Kaisermühlen-Tunnel take the Vienna International Centre exit. Drive straight on, and then take the Donau City exit on the right. On the roundabout take the Donau-City-Straße exit. At the next roundabout follow the signs to the Tech Gate Vienna Garage.

Student Travel Grants

Thanks to the funding received from NSF and (Other Sources), we will be able to support a limited number of people with partial financial support to attend the GameSec 2017 Conference. Preference will be given to students that are authors of papers accepted to GameSec 2017. Students who are not authors of GameSec 2017 papers can also apply.

  • Application Deadline: September 8, 2017 (23:59 EST)
  • Decision Announcement: September 15, 2017

Please submit the following materials for your application:

  • A filled in application form
  • Recommendation Letter: Please submit also a brief support letter for your application by your advisor (if you are a PhD student), or by your supervisor or> senior colleague (if you are a young researcher). The letter should briefly explain the benefit to you from attending GameSec 2017 and should ascertain the need for partial support for attending GemeSec 2017. The recommender should email the support letter directly to Prof. Quanyan Zhu ([email protected]). The support letter should clearly state the name and position of the recommender and her/his relation with you. Format accepted: MS Word, text or PDF.

PLEASE NOTE: Financial assistance can be used only for the following: travel expenses (air, train, other ground), hotel accommodation and registration fee (in this order of preference). Funds will be sent after the conference to the awardees based on actual receipts.
